#skyporn Home Edition
There is evening peace and quiet. Godzuki collapsed surprisingly early tonight, so early it has suddenly left me with insane volumes of empty space to fill in with whatever I fancy. To draw or not to draw? To put an end to the inception of chaos in the wardrobe or to prepare an evening meal? Or maybe to do nothing for a change. To be. To look into the distance, to listen intently to the sounds of the house (even if they are dominated by the snoring pug exhausted by her lazy afternoon in the garden. A couch potato felled by the obscenity of the all-encompassing fresh air).
No drawing. No cleaning. No cooking.
I am. I’m listening. I'm looking into the distance.
And there I find an absolutely phenomenal sunset. It turns out that no seas or distant and foreign lands give me what I can find here at home.
I let go of grabbing the phone/camera to snap it into the digital memory. Instead, I absorb every second of the changing colours until darkness closes on the spectacle. Only then do I reach for the computer and in the digital cloud I find my album with pictures of the sky.
I invite you to the second entry with a hashtag skyporn from the place where the sky is the most beautiful: from home.
I turn the order of the day: first it was evening, then the noon, and now time for the dawn. You cannot see it in the photo, but even though the windows face west, we also watch sunrises - reflected in the windows of the buildings opposite.
